Eleven Uncapped Players Named In Ireland Women’s Squad

The Ireland Women’s squad to play England in a much-anticipated autumn Test at the Twickenham Stoop next month has been named.

Ireland Women’s head coach Tom Tierney has included eleven players who are uncapped at this level – Elaine Anthony, Nikki Caughey, Ciara Cooney, Mairead Coyne, Jeamie Deacon, Aine Donnelly, Zoe Grattage, Mary Healy, Claire McLaughlin, Cliodhna Moloney and Fiona Reidy.
 
The girls in green, who recently held an open training session at Kingspan Stadium, will take on their English counterparts at the Twickenham Stoop on Saturday, November 14 (kick-off 3pm). Match tickets are available to buy here.

Speaking ahead of the game, Tierney said: “We are looking forward to the game in November. It’s the first time we have played an autumn international which is another step in the development of Women’s rugby. We have an opportunity to have a look at some new players and combinations, building towards the Six Nations.”
