Murray Among The Players Back In Full Training With Munster

Munster stepped up preparations for this Saturday’s European Champions Cup encounter with Leicester Tigers at Thomond Park with their first squad session of the week.

Having recovered from illness, both Andrew Conway and Jack O’Donoghue returned to take a full part in training today at the University of Limerick, as did BJ Botha who has now completed his return-to-play protocols after sustaining a concussion against Connacht over a week ago.

Conor Murray (foot), Mike Sherry (knee) and Donnacha Ryan (ribs) also took a full part in training and will meet with Munster medical staff tomorrow in assessing their progress post-session.

Francis Saili (calf) will also be assessed by medical staff tomorrow after completing some rehab running pitchside, while Tomas O’Leary sat out today’s session after reporting a back spasm.

Tommy O’Donnell continued with his rehab training on the pitch at UL and there was good news for Johnny Holland (hamstring) and Peter McCabe (pec) with both players progressing to modified training.

Duncan Casey (pec), Peter O’Mahony (knee) and Stephen Archer (neck) continue to follow their respective rehab programmes.

Meanwhile, a number of ticket offers are now available for Munster’s remaining Platinum games at Thomond Park this season – Leicester Tigers (Champions Cup), Leinster (PRO12) and Stade Francais (Champions Cup).

As well as terrace family packs, for the first time ever, fans now have the option to purchase stand family packs (Cat B seats). Family packs start from just €;60 (based on two adults and two juniors).

Students can enjoy these games from the North or South Terrace for as little as €;10. Tickets for these games can also be purchased as part of a three-match pack. Choose any three home games of your choice from the Champions Cup and/or GUINNESS PRO12.

Match packs start from just €;45 and also save you 10% across the cost of all three tickets. Individual tickets and match packs can be purchased online here, from the Munster Rugby Ticket Offices at Thomond Park and Irish Independent Park, or by calling 0818 719 300.
