FFR Notice For Ireland Supporters Travelling To Paris

Due to the recent security issues in France, the Federation Francais de Rugby (FFR) have issued the following advisory to Ireland fans travelling to Paris for the RBS 6 Nations match on Saturday, February 13.

Strict security checks of spectators will be in place in the environs of the Stade de France for the RBS 6 Nations matches.

The National Police and the Security Managers have planned several checkpoints near the stadium in order to avoid queues at the stadium’s gates where reinforced controls will be carried out (tickets, bag checks, etc).

Spectators are invited to arrive at the stadium earlier than usual so that the security checks can operate efficiently.

The gates of the Stade de France will open two hours before kick-off. No allowance will be given to latecomers.

Increased vigilance shall be exercised with respect to items prohibited in the stadium (alcohol,
sharp or blunt objects, rigid flagpoles, smoke bombs, firecrackers, pyrotechnics, etc), which will be confiscated.

It is strongly advised to come to the match without backpacks, sports bags or other bulky items which will be placed in cloakrooms.

The Public Authorities and the FFR and all involved services have taken the relevant actions to ensure that this event takes place in the usual festive atmosphere, while ensuring maximum safety to all attendees.

Safety concerns everyone, so the FFR thanks the public for its cooperation.
