Busy Weekend Ahead For IRFU Referees
There will be IRFU referees in action in the Under-20 and Women’s RBS 6 Nations, the European Nations Cup, the British & Irish Cup and the Ulster Bank League this weekend.
Gary Glennon and Dermot Blake will be on hand at tonight’s Ireland Under-20 game against Italy U-20s as they act as 4th and 5th officials.
Also in the Under-20 Six Nations, Andy Brace will officiate the match between England and Wales and will be assisted by David Wilkinson and Stuart Douglas, with Seamus Flannery as TMO.
Helen O’Reilly will referee the Women’s Six Nations meeting of Scotland and France, and in the British & Irish Cup quarter-finals, Frank Murphy is the man in the middle when Bedford face Jersey.
On Saturday, Sean Gallagher will take charge of Spain versus Portugal in the European Nations Cup in Madrid. He will be assisted by Mark Patton and Oisin Quinn.
Nigel Correll and Paul Haycock will be assistant referees for the British & Irish Cup clash between Leinster ‘A’ and London Welsh at Donnybrook, and Tommy O’Donoghue will officiate the Ulster Bank League Division 2B game between Highfield and Rainey Old Boys.
Sunday will see Joy Neville referee the Under-18 international between Wales and England, while John Carvill and Sue Carty are assistant referees for the Ireland Women’s encounter with Italy at Donnybrook.
