The GUINNESS PRO12 final in 2017 is set to take place in Dublin at the Aviva Stadium as the league finale moves to another of rugby’s iconic arenas.
After Connacht claimed last season’s GUINNESS PRO12 title with a 20-10 victory at BT Murrayfield, it will be Dublin that hosts the final this time around.
And for Martin Anayi, managing director of PRO12 Rugby, it gives the GUINNESS PRO12 the chance to raise the bar even further.
Anayi said: “After the successes of the finals hosted in Belfast and Edinburgh, the Aviva Stadium will provide another grand stage that rewards clubs, players and fans from across the Championship.
“Since its redevelopment in 2010, the Aviva Stadium has fast become an iconic rugby arena and after a thrilling final at BT Murrayfield between Connacht and Leinster that set a new attendance record, it seems only right that we should try to raise the bar yet again here in Dublin.
“Sponsors like GUINNESS also appreciate that we have a ‘Fan First’ philosophy and that is why we have put on an Early Bird offer – where fans can save up to 20% on selected tickets – to reward supporters who want to book their place at the final on Saturday, May 27.”
Oliver Loomes, country director for Diageo Ireland, was thrilled to reveal that the final will take place in the home of GUINNESS.
He said: “We are looking forward to enjoying some more epic encounters with the best teams from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Italy and are delighted that the final is taking place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, the home of GUINNESS.”
