Connacht Secure Naming Rights Deal For New Stand

Connacht Rugby have signed an agreement with Grant Thornton, Ireland’s fastest growing professional services firm, for the 2016/17 naming rights of the new seated stand at the Sportsground in Galway.

The Grant Thornton Seated Stand will be in place for all of Connacht’s home games and offers a new outdoor, seated option for 290 supporters.

Commenting on the announcement, Connacht Rugby CEO Willie Ruane said: “We are delighted to welcome Grant Thornton on board for the season. To have secured a naming rights partner for the first time is fantastic and indicative of the growth we have shown commercially in the past few years.”

Frank Walsh, Partner-in-Charge, Grant Thornton, added: “Grant Thornton is very excited about this collaboration. Like Connacht Rugby, Grant Thornton has enjoyed considerable success in Galway in recent years and we’re very confident that our partnership will ensure both parties continue to grow strongly in the years ahead.”
