This Weekend’s IRFU Referee Appointments
This weekend sees the return of the Ulster Bank Leagues which means a busy weekend for IRFU referees across domestic, representative and professional competitions.
Tonight George Clancy takes control of the GUINNESS PRO12 clash between Cardiff Blues and Glasgow Warriors, while David Wilkinson is in charge of Edinburgh’s home game against Leinster.
Leo Colgan is the man in the middle for the opening fixture of the Ulster Bank League season as newly-promoted Dublin University take on Terenure College at Lakelands Park.
The Under-20/Development XV interprovincial series continues as Joy Neville takes charge of the meeting between Leinster and Munster at Donnybrook.
On Saturday Dudley Phillips is on duty for Munster’s PRO12 trip to the Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade, and a full host of Ulster Bank League fixtures get under way with Eoin Hogan O’Connell taking control of defending champions Clontarf’s first league outing away to UCD.
Last year’s Division 1A beaten finalists Cork Constitution travel to Templeville Road where Stuart Gaffikin will officiate.
Dan Carson will be the man in the middle for Bangor’s first Ulster Bank League Division 2C fixture against Rainey Old Boys following their promotion to the All-Ireland League at the end of last season.
In the Under-18 Clubs provincial fixtures, Tommy O’Donoghue will referee Leinster v Ulster at Donnybrook and Adrian Reavey is in charge of the game between Connacht and Munster at the Sportsground. Gary Glennon takes control of the Under-18 Schools game between Ulster and Leinster in Belfast.
