New Ireland 2016/17 Alternate Kit Is Launched

Canterbury, the world’s leading rugby brand, and the IRFU have unveiled the new alternate kit for the 2016/17 season. Created by Canterbury, the kit features a contemporary design with a range of innovative technologies developed to enhance performance on pitch.

Pre order from 2pm at shop.irishrugby.ie.

The new Ireland alternate kit focuses on the heritage surrounding Irish rugby. Taking inspiration from Lansdowne Road, the oldest rugby ground in the world and the historical home of the IRFU, 4 gold bar tacks link to the embroidery on the original Lansdowne FC caps.

Designed for both players and rugby fans, the alternate kit features the full range of innovations present in the home jersey, including VapoDri+ which ensures the best performance in all weather conditions.

Targeted articulation and ventilation guarantees players are supported throughout the game, with the stretch drill collar adding further flexibility when under pressure.

Working closely with the Irish rugby team and management, Canterbury has developed a kit that does not rely on luck, and is committed to ensuring the best performance for the team.

The jersey launch supports Canterbury’s ‘Not Luck. Only Commitment.’ campaign which brings to life the Irish rugby team’s commitment to the game, leaving nothing to luck in their pursuit of glory.

The new Ireland Rugby range is now available to pre order from 2pm at shop.irishrugby.ie.
