Bohane To Lead Munster ‘A’ Against Saracens Storm

Munster ‘A’ head coach Peter Malone has named his side to face Saracens Storm in a mid-season friendly at Allianz Park on Friday (kick-off 7.30pm).

Following the cancellation of the province’s final British & Irish Cup pool clash due to the disqualification of London Welsh from the competition, they will instead use their trip to London as preparation for their home B&I Cup quarter-final due to take place on March 10/11/12.

A finalised date, venue and kick-off time will be confirmed in due course with their quarter-final opponents to be decided following the last round of pool action this weekend.

There are five personnel changes to the team that defeated Doncaster Knights at Bandon RFC, including first Munster ‘A’ starts for scrum half Angus Lloyd, Academy centre Shane Daly and Garryowen openside Bailey Faloon.

Dave Foley also returns to the second row with the Academy’s Greg O’Shea starting on the right wing. Ronan Coffey (Shannon), Alan Tynan (Young Munster), Colm Hogan (Dublin University) and Rob O’Donovan (UCC) are included on the bench, with O’Donovan in line to make his first Munster ‘A’ appearance. Centre Cian Bohane will again captain the side.

MUNSTER ‘A’ (v Saracens Storm): David Johnston; Greg O’Shea, Shane Daly, Cian Bohane (capt), Stephen Fitzgerald; Te Aihe Toma, Angus Lloyd; Brian Scott, Kevin O’Byrne, Stephen Archer, Dave Foley, Darren O’Shea; Dave O’Callaghan, Bailey Faloon, Gavin Coombes.
