Greystones and Seapoint Rugby hosted the Trophy on Sunday last and there was a great turnout in both clubs as excitement builds for the tournament later this year.

On Monday, the Teresian School in Donnybrook was the first stop with Ireland internationals Ciara Cooney, Cliodhna Moloney and Ailsa Hughes.

This was followed by a trip to Coláiste Bríde in Clondalkin – where Ireland winger and former pupil Hannah Tyrrell met some of the young and aspiring players.

There was also a stop in The King’s Hospital where the first year girls had a #GiveItATry rugby session as part of the visit.

Next up it was a visit to Ireland’s oldest rugby club – Dublin University in Trinity College with Ireland props Lindsay Peat and Ailis Egan on hand to meet the students.

Tuesday saw the trophy visit Maynooth Education Campus before heading to Lucan Community College – sometime home of former Ireland captain and #WRWC2017 Ambassador Fiona Coghlan.

Naas played host to the trophy on Wednesday with visits to the rugby club, Naas Community College with Alison Miller and Piper’s Hill College – where the girls have decided to #GiveItATry and take up rugby.

Jenny Murphy was in the school and club for the visit and had a great time trying out the new head wear.

Thursday saw the trophy hit the midlands with trips to Athy, Birr and Portlaoise including stops at Ardscoil na Trionoide, Birr Community College and Portlaoise RFC.

The weekend will see the trophy visiting Navan RFC, Tullamore RFC and making a special stop in Carton House as part of a one day girls rugby festival.
