IRFU Search For ‘Bid Kid’ To Answer Ireland’s 2023 Call

The IRFU are inviting rugby mad Irish kids aged 7 to 15 (inclusive) to apply to become the person to present Ireland’s Rugby World Cup 2023 bid book to World Rugby on Thursday, June 1, 2017.

The IRFU are inviting parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents to enter a child they believe is rugby mad, confident, outgoing, likes getting their photograph taken and most importantly – is ready to take their place in the history of Irish Rugby, by joining our team as they deliver the document to World Rugby that will underline why Ireland is ‘Ready for the World’.

To enter, simply email a picture of the ‘rugby mad’ child and explain in 50 words or less why your child should be Ireland’s ‘bid kid’ for Rugby World Cup 2023.

Please include your name and contact details as well as the photo and explanation.

The bid submission will be made as part of a media event which we expect will draw significant print, photography and TV interest so it is important that the child is comfortable in such an environment!
