The IRFU has chosen to showcase, through the website, some key digital assets including the awe-inspiring, short movie, ‘Ready for the World’, narrated by Liam Neeson, which marked the official launch of Ireland’s bid in November 2016.
An impressive Match Venues video, featuring Brian O’Driscoll, Bernard Brogan, Phillip Matthews and Paul O’Connell, which marked the World Rugby site visit to Ireland in March this year, and now, as the process enters the final stages, the Ireland 2023 site is designed to inspire and inform all with an interest in the bid.
Speaking about the refreshed website, Kevin Potts, Ireland 2023 Bid Director, said: “We were clear from the start that Ireland could deliver a tournament like no other, full of Irish spirit and commercial success and we wanted to ensure that in each key milestone along the way we demonstrated that Irish spirit.
“Ireland is ready for the world, and today we enter the final stages of our bid to bring the World Cup to Ireland by delivering a website that gives a glimpse of the look, feel and messaging contained in our bid for Rugby World Cup 2023.”
