Canterbury Release Limited Edition WRWC 2017 Ireland Jersey

The Irish Rugby Football Union and Canterbury today launched a pre-sale for the first ever Ireland Women’s team supporter jersey to mark just six weeks to go to the start of Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017.

In May 2015, the IRFU were awarded the hosting of Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017, which takes place in Dublin and Belfast from August 9 to 26.

To celebrate, a brand new limited edition supporter’s jersey is now available, with the iconic green championing the heritage of rugby in the country

Canterbury’s Head of Sports Marketing, Simon Rowe, said: “The IRFU’s commitment to the game reflects our own brand values, with both Canterbury and the IRFU determined to develop the game both on and off the field. We wish the team the best of luck in WRWC 2017!”

IRFU Commercial Director Padraig Power commented: “We are delighted that Canterbury has launched a supporter’s jersey to mark our team’s participation in the historic Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 which will be played out on home soil. This comes at a time when interest in Women’s rugby is at an all-time high.

“The jersey will be a welcome addition to the fantastic range of women’s products already available on our website and is the first specifically designed shirt for the Women’s team supporter.”

For the first time, the WRWC pro jersey is now available to purchase, with 500 available exclusively at the IRFU Canterbury Store and online at shop.irishrugby.ie.
