Terenure To Host ‘Bring Your Boots’ Minis Tournament

With the Women’s Rugby World Cup kicking off in UCD on Wednesday, August 9, players, teams and clubs are encouraged to join in the rugby atmosphere by signing up to the ‘Bring Your Boots’ Rugby Festivals.

The IRFU want to provide playing opportunities for all ages over the course of the Women’s Rugby World Cup and so Terenure College RFC will host the Girls Mini Rugby Festival on the morning of the tournament’s match day 2 – Sunday, August 13 from 9.30am to 11.30am.

The festival will cater for Under-10 (born 2009 & 2008) and Under-12 (born 2007 and 2006) teams and will run as per Mini Rugby Festival guidelines. Those clubs with limited players are encouraged to attend, with barbarian teams formed on the day.

Participants can then either stay in Terenure to enjoy some rugby on the TV screen or make their way to UCD if they have a ticket for WRWC 2017 action as hosts Ireland take on Japan in their second pool game at 5.15pm.

For more information on the Girls Mini Rugby Festival, or to get your team included, please contact womensrugby@irfu.ie.
