PwC Host Professional Development Day For Ireland Under-20s

Ireland Under-20 team sponsors PwC hosted a professional development day for the squad this week, including career and interview advice as well as team building exercises.

The Ireland Under-20 squad took part in a series of challenges and seminars at PwC offices in Spencer Dock. The day also included a panel discussion with PwC staff involved in other sports at an elite level.

Ireland hockey player Rebecca Barry, who is on sabbatical from PwC as she prepares for the Hockey World Cup in London in July, was joined by Armagh GAA and Collingwood (Australian Rules) star Kevin Dyas and Niall Murray, a member of the current Cavan GAA squad.

Speaking about the day, IRFU High Performance Manager Colin McEntee said: “Our players got a real insight into pathways into a career outside or after rugby and how to maximise their potential through further education.

“It is fantastic to have PwC help the players in this regard as it is part of the development pathway for talented young players.”
