On The Road With The Ireland 7s – Episode 3 – Hong Kong
The third episode of the ‘On The Road with the Ireland 7s’ series is now live. We went behind the scenes with the Ireland Men’s Sevens squad in Hong Kong, as they sought to qualify for the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
From recovering from jet-lag after the long journey to Hong Kong, to adjusting to the warm weather and having the privilege of pulling on the green jersey, we hear from the players as they pursue their dream.
At an incredible tournament, with an unrivalled atmosphere in the Hong Kong Stadium, follow the fortunes of the team throughout the weekend – on the pitch, in the changing room, managing their recovery – and how they will deal with the results.

The Ireland Men’s and Women’s Sevens squads are on the journey of a lifetime as they prepare for the Rugby World Cup Sevens tournaments in San Francisco in July. Episode 2 – Sydney: We follow the Ireland Women’s Sevens squad at the Sydney 7s tournament in January as they claim seventh place, matching their best ever finish since returning to the World Series in 2015
Episode 1 – Dubai: We followed both Ireland teams at the Dubai 7s as the Women’s team competed in their opening Women’s Sevens Series competition, and the Men’s outfit took part in the Dubai 7s International Invitational tournament
