Hugh Hogan Secures New Role With Leinster Senior Coaching Team
At an event on Monday evening to preview this Friday’s Bank of Ireland pre-season match against Newcastle Falcons at Energia Park (kick-off 7pm), Leinster head coach Leo Cullen has confirmed his senior coaching team for 2018/19 with the addition of one final coach to the line-up.
Former Leinster Rugby Elite Player Development Officer Hugh Hogan will work with the province’s senior squad for the season ahead as a contact skills coach. The new role will also include Hogan working with Leinster’s age-grade players and coaches.
Leo Cullen confirmed the addition of Hogan at an event in Energia Park where he and the rest of the senior coaching team held an informal Q&A with under-age coaches from local clubs Bective Rangers FC and Old Wesley RFC.

He joined Leinster as an Elite Player Development Officer in 2013 and has been head coach of Leinster Under-19s, Leinster Under-20s and Leinster ‘A’, most recently, as well as coaching with the Ireland Sevens programme at both Under-19 and senior level.
