The Ireland Women’s Sevens squad travelled to Japan earlier this week and will take part in the uncapped Hokkaido Governor’s Cup this weekend.
Ireland are drawn in a pool with Canada, Australia and Japan. The tournament will give the squad valuable competition ahead of this season’s HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series which gets underway in Colorado, USA on October 20-21. The full series calendar can be viewed here.
