Keatley To Join Benetton Rugby Next Season

Munster Rugby have confirmed that out-half Ian Keatley will depart the province for Italian GUINNESS PRO14 side Benetton Rugby following the completion of the 2018/19 season.

Ian Keatley joined Munster ahead of the 2011/12 campaign and has been an integral member of the squad over the past eight years. The experienced out-half has scored 1247 points in his 180 Munster appearances to date.

The Dubliner, who turns 32 in April, is second on the list of Munster’s all-time top points scorers, but he has struggled for game-time at number 10 this season, making four appearances off the bench against the Ospreys, Ulster, Glasgow Warriors and Toyota Cheetahs.

Capped seven times by Ireland, Keatley is the third all-time top points scorer in the GUINNESS PRO14 – accumulating 1428 points from his spells with Connacht and Munster – and fifth on the list of most games played (196 matches).
