Provincial rivals Connacht and Munster will clash in a pre-season match at the Sportsground in September, it has been confirmed today.
The game forms the final part of their preparations for the start of the GUINNESS PRO14 season just a week later. Connacht and Munster will face off in Galway on Saturday, September 21 (kick-off 3pm), with tickets going on sale in the coming days.
Connacht Rugby Season Ticket holders will have free admission. The two provinces will release more details on their pre-season schedules in the coming weeks, with the 2019/20 campaign starting later than usual this year due to the Rugby World Cup.
Munster, who returned to pre-season training in Limerick just under two weeks ago, did the double over Connacht during this past season with a 31-24 win in Galway followed by a 27-14 success at Thomond Park. The two provinces are Conference rivals once again this coming season.
