Volunteer Recruitment Drive On IrishRugby.ie.

IrishRugby.ie, the digital hub for all the latest news from Irish Rugby is assisting clubs and potential volunteers to connect this October.

To capitalise on the Rugby World Cup which is delivering a huge volume of traffic from people interested in the game, Clubs from across the four provinces can now reach out directly to people and welcome them into their club through this new initiative.

Volunteer roles posted on the website can help connect potential volunteers at a local level. The roles themselves are explained in detail with specify time commitments, relevant skills and level of rugby knowledge required.

Speaking about the initiative, Greg Barrett, Chair of the IRFU Rugby Committee said:

“We saw this as a prime opportunity for clubs to benefit from the attention surrounding the Ireland team at present.

We know there are people who want to get involved with their local rugby club but think they can’t because they don’t have a background in the sport. However, the majority of roles actually don’t require any rugby experience and are just as rewarding as they offer the chance to be part of a welcoming community focused environment.

I would encourage both clubs and potential volunteers to avail of the opportunity.”

The initiative will run for the coming weeks.
