An open invite to rugby club members is being extended to an important event on the Irish Rugby calendar.
The inaugural Sustaining Irish Rugby Forum takes place this Sunday November 24th at the Aviva Stadium under the theme Shaping The Future Together.
The one-day gathering is an opportunity for club volunteers to come together with industry experts and identify strategies that ensure the sustainability of rugby in the coming years.
The event is free but ticket-only with limited availability.

Greg Barrett, Chair of the IRFU Rugby Committee will open proceedings before opening remarks from Colin McEntee, Director of Rugby Development.
Speakers on the day will include Ronan Fitzpatrick, Director of Digital with PwC Ireland. Ronan will talk about the “Club Of The Future” in the context of a changing Ireland.
Una May, Director of Participation and Ethics with Sport Ireland will then discuss findings from the Irish Sports Monitor. The ISM is a large population study undertaken biennially in order to provide trends in participation in sport and physical activity in Ireland.
Both May and Fitzpatrick will then sit in for an audience Q&A moderated by MC Sinead Kissane.
The session after lunch will be hosted by Irish Rugby’s Spirit Of Rugby Programme Manager Anne Marie Hughes. The subject will be “Rugby’s Response To A Changing Society” featuring a panel of clubs who have successfully addressed some of the challenges presented.
Attending clubs will be asked to share their own examples of good-practice.
Cormac Mannion of Energia will discuss sustainability in clubs before Ronan Fitzpatrick returns to address club strategy and the inclusivity toolkit.
Clubs will also have the opportunity to identify their main takeaways from the day.
