A new online platform for referee education and performance reviewing was introduced to the IRFU National Panel Referees, with the aim to provide a better structure for Referees and Referee Coaches to review performances and aid referee development. This platform will also be utilised to share Referee Best practices.
David Wilkinson, IRFU National Referee Manager said:
“The future of Domestic Rugby in Ireland, its quality and progress are not only determined by the development of the players’, but it is also determined by well-educated and competent officiators.
“Strives are being made to modernise the manner through which we review and educate referees. I hope our midseason seminar has set the referees up for the remaining rounds and I look forward to some exciting rugby as the Energia AIL reaches its climax.”
