Parsons And Rodera Make Try-Scoring Splash In Women’s Division

Three players are tied at the top of the try-scoring charts in the Energia All-Ireland League Women’s Division, while Galwegians captain Nicole Fowley has reached the half-century mark as the leading points scorer.

Beibhinn Parsons’ fantastic haul of five tries on her AIL debut steered Blackrock College past ‘Wegians, as she brought her finishing skills from the international stage to the club game.

Carmen Rodera’s impressive hat-trick for Railway Union against Suttonians made it five tries in two appearances for the Spanish flanker. Parsons and Rodera are level with Galwegians’ flying winger Laoise McGonagle.

Trusty out-half Fowley, who is averaging 12.5 points per game, leads the way in the points scoring section, closely followed by Old Belvedere starlet Dannah O’Brien (48 points).

Fresh from making their debuts for Ireland – alongside O’Brien – against Japan, Aoife Dalton, Emma Tilly (3 tries each) and Leah Tarpey (2) have made sure to get amongst the tries for their new clubs.
