The Ireland Under-18 Clubs & Schools squad (sponsored by PwC) will play an Italy Under-18 team on Sunday (April 2) at Ashbourne RFC (kick-off 2pm).
Back in November, head coach Fiach O’Loughlin, from Munster Rugby, watched his side run out impressive 43-10 winners over their Italian counterparts at the Centro di Preparazione Olimpica Giulio Onesti in Rome.
O’Loughlin is assisted in the Ireland U-18 Clubs & Schools coaching group by Daryl Maxwell (Ulster Rugby) and Morgan Codyre (Connacht Rugby).
There are only six players remaining from the side that travelled to Rome last autumn – Cian Brady, Connor Fahy, Eoghan Smyth, Henry Walker, Ambrose Bamber and Arann Pratt. Bamber, Fahy and Pratt were all try scorers that day.
