#EnergiaAIL: Early Season Pacesetters

The Energia All-Ireland League takes a break over the bank holiday weekend so here’s the state of play across the divisions as some familiar and some new club names set the pace in their divisions. The league resumes on November 4th.

Women’s Division

UL Bohs lead the way with five bonus point wins from five games. Railway are hot on their heels with 4 from 4 while Belvo and Rock are both 3 from 4 just edging Ballincolling into 5th place.

Men’s Division 1A

There’s a familiar look at the top of the league as Lansdowne and Clontarf lead the way after three rounds. Reigning champions Terenure have yet to hit their straps but the story so far is City of Armagh who sit just outside the Top 4 after last Saturday’s win against Shannon.

Men’s Divison 1B

St. Mary’s lead the way with three bonus point wins with Highfield, Old Wesley and Queens in the top four. At the other end of the table Buccaneers are yet to record a win.

Men’s Division 2A

Division 2A is shaping up nicely with only 7 points between Nenagh Ormond at the top and Banbridge in 7th place. Cashel, UL Bohs and Greystones complete the Top 4 but there’s plenty of room for change between now and December.

Men’s Division 2B

Instonians continue their march having gone unbeaten in Division 2C last season, they are 3 from 3 with bonus points to boot in Division 2B. Corinthians, Wanderers and Sligo are level on 11 points to make up the top 4 while only Rainey are without a win at the other end of the table.

Men’s Division 2C

Clogher Valley’s remarkable rise continues as they have maximum points from their opening three games in Division 2C. Glawegians and Bruff are just a point behind while Enniscorthy complete the top 4. Bangor and Ballina are yet to win.
