The Energia All-Ireland League is back this weekend at a club near you. We will be bringing you extensive coverage of the league throughout the season, including more live games, match highlights, magic moments, and stories from every division.
The action starts this week in the Men’s Divisions with a ‘Friday Night Lights’ match at Energia Park between Old Wesley and Blackrock College, while the Women’s Division gets up and running next week.
The 2024/25 Men’s campaign starts as it finished last season with the clash of Terenure College and Cork Constitution in a repeat of last May’s final. Newly-promoted St. Mary’s College host Clontarf, while Garryowen, the second promoted club, are at home to Lansdowne.
The first #EnergiaAIL Live game of the season will be streamed on Friday night as Old Wesley host Blackrock in a mouth-watering south Dublin derby. On Saturday in the second tier, there is action in Highfield, Nenagh Ormond, Old Belvedere, and Queen’s University.
MU Barnhall missed out on promotion last season by the narrowest of margins. The new season kicks off with Barnhall away to Banbridge. Newly-promoted Instonians are on the road to Dubarry Park to face a Buccaneers side looking to bounce back after their relegation.
Can Clogher Valley continue their ascent through the Men’s Divisions? Their first ever Division 2B season kicks off with a trip to Ulster rivals Malone. Elsewhere, Galwegians’ return to this division sees them entertaining Skerries in the opening round.
Monkstown mark their long-awaited All-Ireland League return with a trip to Midleton. Bruff and Enniscorthy both made the top four last season and will be aiming higher again this time. They are at home to Dolphin and Belfast Harlequins, respectively, on the opening weekend.
