Bradley Looks For Improvement Against Glasgow

Connacht coach Michael Bradley says that Friday’s Magners League clash against Glasgow offers his side a chance to bounce after losing away to the Scarlets.

Connacht will be hoping to net their first points of the league season when they entertain the Glasgow Warriors at the Sportsground on Friday (kick-off 6.30pm).

But coach Michael Bradley says they will need to improve if they are to achieve the required result after a disappointing display at Stradey Park last Saturday.

“There is no hiding from the fact that we got well beaten. We stressed, at 12-3 down at half-time, how the Scarlets would look to expand their offload and how vital it was for us to get our tackles in every time.

“Unfortunately we did not do that and a few wayward kicks also helped them and they capitalised. Teams like the Scarlets will punish you every time and they ran away with it. We just did not have the answer to them,” he said.

Bradley wants his men to regroup and has targeted Friday’s meeting with Glasgow in Galway as a key match.

“It is a match we would have targeted and Glasgow would be aware of that. Hopefully, we can get our first points of the season in front of our own supporters but we have a bit of work to do between now and then.”
