Ireland U-20 Internationals Added To Leinster Academy
The Leinster Academy panel for the 2010/11 season has been announced and includes seven new faces.
Joining the Leinster Academy group this year for the first time are Ireland Under-20 internationals Noel Reid (out-half/centre), Darren Hudson (winger), Ben Marshall (lock), Jack O’Connell (prop), John Cooney (scrum half), Sam Coghlan Murray (winger) and Jordi Murphy (back rower).
In all there are 16 players in the Academy whose most recent graduates include Andrew Conway and development contracted players Brendan Macken, Jack McGrath, Niall Morris, Paul Ryan, Eoin Sheriff and Rhys Ruddock who made his Ireland senior debut in June against Australia.
All of this year’s panellists are enrolled in the HETAC programme, which is a qualification supplementary to their third level degrees, which covers modules in areas such as: public speaking, mental training, conditioning theory, media skills, drugs & testing and understanding agents and contracts.
