Connacht Plan For Official Supporters Club
With Connacht’s first season of Heineken Cup and the newly-rebranded RaboDirect PRO12 competition fast approaching, plans for Connacht’s Official Supporters Club are well advanced.
The Official Connacht Supporters Club, which will be named the ‘Connacht Clan’, will pay homage to the historical warrior spirit of the ancient people of the province.
The Connacht Clan will be open to all supporters of Connacht Rugby, with Season Ticket holders automatically becoming members.
The main function of the Connacht Clan will be to unite all Connacht supporters behind one banner and provide information to fans on home and away fixtures involving the men in green.
They will be tasked with arranging transport to away games both within Ireland and around Europe. Throughout the year they will also be organising various social events and fans forums around the province.
However, one of the most important benefits of the new Connacht Clan will be the priority access to tickets for Heineken Cup and interprovincial matches at the Sportsground before they go on general release.
For anyone who is interested in getting involved in the club, the Connacht Clan will hold their first annual AGM this Wednesday evening (July 20) at 7pm in the Sportsground.
This meeting is open to all fans of Connacht Rugby and the organisers are encouraging as many people as possible to come along.
