Longford Announce New Ground Sponsor
Longford RFC has announced that it has reached agreement with CPL Group to become the new sponsor of their home ground. The five-year sponsorship agreement will see the home of rugby in Longford, the Demesne, now being called CPL Park at the Demesne.
Commenting on the announcement, President of Longford RFC, Martin McGuire, said that this deal with CPL is of vital importance to the club.
“Given the economic climate fundraising is of paramount importance. It is a particularly difficult environment to operate a voluntary club,” he said.
“To get a sponsor on board of the calibre of CPL is a tremendous boost to the club. The support of CPL, and particularly of Anne Heraty, is something that the club are very grateful for.”
Speaking about the announcement, Ms Heraty explained: “We are delighted to get the opportunity to sponsor Longford RFC. As a Ballinalee woman my roots are very firmly in Longford.
“It is great to have this chance to support an organisation that gives so much to the local community. Longford RFC, as with all sporting organisations, fosters ideals such as being a team players and develops leadership qualities in young people.
“CPL prides itself on placing candidates in the roles they’re best matched to in organisations they are most suited to.
“This sponsorship deal is also a great fit and we hope that our support will help Longford RFC develop in the future,” he added.
Mr McGuire concluded by saying that CPL’s commitment to the club displays the forward thinking that the company is renowned for in its forging of strong business relationships.
“The sponsorship deal shows that the ethos of promoting entrepreneurial thinking and innovation at CPL is something they carry into the local community,” he continued.
“The manner that they deliver unrivalled services and opportunities in the marketplace in creating solutions that fit clients’ and candidates’ requirements is reflected in the opportunities that this deal presents Longford RFC.”
