Boss Doubtful For Leinster’s Dragons Clash
The Leinster squad trained at UCD on Tuesday ahead of their RaboDirect PRO12 match against the Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade. Saturday’s round 22 game will not be televised but there will be live updates on the Leinster website.
With top seeding secured – meaning that Leinster will face the league’s fourth-placed side at the RDS in the following weekend’s play-offs – the Leinster management may opt to freshen up the squad for the trip to Newport this weekend.
There are no major injury concerns arising from last Sunday’s bruising Heineken Cup semi-final victory over Clermont Auvergne.
However, Ireland scrum half Isaac Boss may miss the Dragons game after receiving a knock in the lead up to Cian Healy’s crucial second half try against the French side.
Isa Nacewa will follow in the footsteps of Felipe Contepomi by becoming only the second ever overseas player to pass the 100-cap mark for the province in his next appearance.
Meanwhile, there are over 10,000 tickets now sold for Leinster’s RaboDirect PRO12 semi-final at the RDS on Saturday, May 12 (kick-off 7.30pm, opposition to be confirmed). Tickets are still on sale online here.
