Local Rivals Get Ready For ‘The Battle Of Dublin 6W’
‘The Battle of Dublin 6W’ commences this Saturday as local rivals St. Mary’s College and Terenure College lock horns in the top tier of Irish club rugby – Ulster Bank League Division 1A – for the first time in over five years.
‘The Battle of Dublin 6W’ is eagerly anticipated by members of both clubs, St. Mary’s College and Terenure College. Not only for the action that will be taking place on the pitch, but also to meet up and relive games gone by.
Guest speaker on the day will Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt. 360 people will descend on Templeville Road prior to the game for the pre-match lunch. The ‘sold out’ signs went up the day the fixtures were released.
Tickets for the much-anticipated derby clash, which kicks off at 2.45pm, are available online or on the gate itself. For online tickets, please click here.
Please note the car park in Templeville Road will be closed to all. There will be a bar tent in the car park on the day.
The teams will compete for the Mick Smyth Cup, a Terenure College RFC man fondly remembered by both clubs. School children make sure to wear your team colours!
Club members, friends, families, neighbours of both clubs are encouraged to come down to Templeville Road on Saturday for what promises to be a great day out!
