Olding And Jackson In Contention For Ulster’s Cardiff Clash
Ulster and Ireland centre Stuart Olding is set to make his return from injury when the province resume their GUINNESS PRO12 campaign at home to Cardiff Blues on Friday night (kick-off 7.35pm).
Stuart Olding underwent surgery to his elbow having suffered ligament damage in January’s European Champions Cup defeat away to Toulon. The 22-year-old has resumed full training and is expected to play against the Welsh region.
Paddy Jackson suffered a dislocated elbow in the same game against Toulon. In encouraging news, he represented Ulster Ravens against Munster ‘A’ in Nenagh last week and having come through 40 minutes, the Ireland out-half is also expected to be available on Friday night.
15,500 tickets have already been sold for the Ulster v Cardiff Blues game which will see Neil Doak’s men aim to consolidate their place in the GUINNESS PRO12’s top four as the battle for the play-off spots continues.
