Marmion And White Available For Connacht’s Clash With Munster
Following Connacht’s pre-season game away to Castres Olympique and ahead of their third and final friendly clash with Munster on Friday night, the province’s medical team have provided the following update.
Api Pewhairangi was the sole injury concern from the match in France last week. The 23-year-old centre injured his knee and will have to undergo further tests this week to determine the extent of the damage. He will be unavailable for the pre-season game with Munster.
Winger Niyi Adeolokun is also unavailable for Friday’s fixture in Limerick as he continues rehab on a knee injury. He will undergo further examination this week on the injury and an update on his expected return-to-play date will be provided.
Along with Quinn Roux, who played ten minutes against Castres, forwards Jason Harris-Wright and Aly Muldowney have made a full return to training and will all be available for selection this week.
Meanwhile, Kieran Marmion and Nathan White, who have appeared for Ireland in the Rugby World Cup warm-up games against Wales and Scotland respectively, will also be available to Pat Lam for the Thomond Park tie on Friday night (kick-off 7.45pm).
