Boyne (7th) v Kanturk (8th), Shamrock Lodge
It’s been steady as she goes in the 2C table with little or no change over the recent matches.
Boyne are two points clear of Kanturk but the Cork side now have two games in hand.
The reverse fixture in November ended with a ten point win for Kanturk.
Midleton (6th) v Navan (5th), Towns Park
Midleton have weathered the recent storms and flooding and are ready to host Navan on Saturday in Towns Park.
The Cork side are two points behind in the standings but with two games in hand they have a big opportunity to climb the table.
It was a tight affair when last they met and Midleton emerged one point winners. Expect a similar tight game on Saturday.
Old Crescent (1st) v Dundalk (10th), Rosbrien
Akin to Division 2B, this clash in Rosbrien sees top against bottom on Saturday afternoon.
Crescent were motoring nicely but Bruff got the better of them in their last game in December. They lead the Division by a point.
Dundalk made them work for the result in late November but you’d have to back the home side to take the points again on Saturday.
Sligo (9th) v Bruff (3rd), Hamilton Park
Sligo put it up to second placed Tullamore last Saturday so they should be primed to mount another challenge when Bruff come calling this weekend.
A losing bonus point was the reward but, no more than Dundalk, they need wins if they are to stave off relegation battles.
Bruff’s last game in the league was nearly a month ago, but it was a sweet win over local rivals Old Crescent.
Wanderers (4th) v Tullamore (2nd), Aviva Stadium
Contender for match of the day in the division as Wanderers look to bounce back from their loss to Navan while Tullamore look to build on their back to back wins over Sligo.
Tullamore won the reverse fixture by 19 – 15 at the end of November so both sides will be well prepared for this re-match.
A win either way will have an effect on the top four standings.
