On Sunday coming, 20 March, a number of U17 Exiles (predominately), with some U16 players, will make their first appearance in an Exiles shirt. This will be in a specially arranged pre-U18s trial match, v. Campion School U17s, at Brunel University’s campus on Borough Road, Isleworth, West London (close to Osterley Underground station on the Piccadilly line); kick-off 2.00 p.m.
The Exiles, as ever, are drawn from far and wide e.g. Cumbria, N Yorkshire, Suffolk, Bromsgrove, etc., with the usual large contingent from London & the SE, and a number of the players have already represented the Exiles at U18 level (i.e. a year young).
Campion School were invited to be the opposition in recognition of their contribution to Exiles Rugby in the current season. They have provided more players for our representative teams than any other school or club, and are – of course – a very well-known rugby nursery’. Incidentally, Campion-based Exiles will play for Campion – just to make life interesting!
