Addison Added To Ireland Training Squad
The Ireland squad have been in Galway this week for their third week of Rugby World Cup pre-season training. They will conclude this week’s activity with an open session in front of supporters at the Sportsground this morning.
The Ireland players and management are very appreciative to Connacht Rugby CEO Willie Ruane and head coach Andy Friend for accommodating this camp and facilitating the national squad’s training programme alongside their own pre-season activity.
Versatile Ulster back Will Addison joined up with the Ireland squad earlier this week as he ramps up his rehabilitation from the back injury that prematurely ended his season.
Addison, who turns 27 next month, made his Ireland debut against Italy in Chicago last November and won further caps against Argentina and the USA during last season’s GUINNESS Series.
Next week Joe Schmidt’s men will be based in Munster’s High Performance Centre in Limerick and will host an open training session on Friday, July 19 at Thomond Park. All tickets for this event have already been distributed via Ticketmaster.
