Ulster Coach Mark McCall has named his side for the opening game of the Magners League. Ulster, as defending champions, will be hoping to get off to a good start with a win over Llanelli Scarlets. The game kicks of on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and is live on Setanta Sports.
Summer signing and Ireland A Churchill Cup player Tom Court makes his competitive debut for the prvince while Ireland international Kieron Dawson is named on the bench alongside fellow internationals Kevin Maggs and Matt McCullough. Injury doubts about David Humphreys and captain Justin Harrison have been cleared and both will start.
In an exclusive interview with UlsterRugby.com coach Mark McCall said: “There are 7/8 teams that are capable of winning the title this season. The Welsh teams in particular are incredibly strong, the Ospreys”.
He also talked about the Ulster bench and the stregnth of the squad: “We are missing our Irish Internationals but we still have great depth in our squad and this will test it.”
Ulster have played the Scarlets six times with three wins and a draw on the debit side.
