Four years ago today, Joe Schmidt‘s Ireland pulled off a famous first victory over the All Blacks in Chicago, bringing an 111-year wait to an end and producing one of the most historic days in Irish Rugby history at Soldier Field.
For the thousands of Irish supporters in Chicago on 5th November 2016, and the millions backing green from back home and around the world, it is a day that will live long in the memory as Ireland produced a history-making performance to record a 40-29 victory.
