It was a memorable weekend in Malaga for the Ireland Women’s Sevens as they put together four wins in a single HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series tournament for the first time.
A fifth place finish – their highest since Sydney in February 2019 – was their reward for well-executed victories over hosts Spain (21-5), Belgium (29-12), England (38-7) and Canada (26-5).
