Murphy Crowe is from County Tipperary and began playing rugby aged 15 in her local club Clanwilliam. She was selected for the Munster Senior 15s side aged 18 and was identified as a talent and invited to play with the Ireland Women’s Sevens.

Since making her senior debut in Guangzhou in 2014, Murphy Crowe has gone on to become the top try scorer for the Ireland Sevens and a leading scorer on the series.

She was the top try scorer  in the 2021–22 World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series with 36 tries and was nominated for World Rugby women’s sevens player of the year in 2022.
