Flood played GAA with Dublin before she decided to fully focus on rugby. She has progressed through the Ireland Women’s Sevens pathway, having first lined out for the U18 side in 2014.

Since making her senior debut in Kazan in 2015, Flood played on every World Series stage up to Dubai 2018, while also appearing at the 2018 Women’s Sevens Rugby World Cup in San Francisco.
