Humid Conditions As Kick-Off Approaches

Japan are always tough opponents, particularly on home soil.


Lesley McKenzie's charges, who lost 15-12 at the RDS last November, are Rugby World Cup-bound and have benefited from recent wins over Fiji, Australia and South Africa.


They drew their series with the Springbok Women, winning the first game 15-6 before losing 20-10 in the rematch.


Conditions here in Shizuoka are typically humid, so all the hard work Ireland have done in preparation, under the watchful eye of Ed Slattery, will be crucial.
