Leinster won in England for the second time this season, a high-quality first half performance setting them up for a 23-14 quarter-final victory over Gallagher Premiership leaders Leicester Tigers.
On his return to Mattioli Woods Welford Road, Leo Cullen got one over his former club as Leinster booked a home semi-final against reigning champions Toulouse back at the Aviva Stadium next week.
They showed their Heineken Champions Cup pedigree with tries during the opening quarter from Josh van der Flier and Robbie Henshaw to build a 20-0 half-time lead.
Captain Jonathan Sexton kicked the other 10 points and his half-back partner Jamison Gibson-Park turned in a Heineken star-of-the-match performance, with Tigers left chasing the game.
They did respond with converted scores from Chris Ashton and Nic Dolly, but the latter’s closing score came after replacement Ross Byrne had effectively put Leinster out of reach with a 65th minute penalty.
