Gerard has been working with the IRFU since 1992.
In 2003, he was seconded from his position as Match Manager for Lansdowne Road Stadium to work with the Irish Team during Rugby World Cup in Australia. In 2005 he worked as Ireland Team Manager and then moved to a role as Team Services Manager in 2008.
In 2013 he was appointed as Logistics Officer for the British & Irish Lions tour to Australia. Gerard was appointed Director of Operations for the British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand in 2017.
Gerard is Director of Operations for the IRFU as well as his role as Team Manager for the Men’s team.
