Kevin played senior rugby for 15 years, lining out for Old Crescent, UCG, Lansdowne, Bective and Galwegians – where he was club captain in 1994/95.
He was the Galwegians coach from 2001 to 2004. In that time he was also Coach of the Connacht U21s.
From 2005 to 2010 he was a member of the Connacht Rugby coaching team.
He served on the Connacht Professional Game Board from 2010 to 2019 and has served on the National Professional Game Board since then. Kevin is also the current Chair of Third Level Rugby and Chair of the IRFU Appeals Board.
Kevin served as an Officer in the Defence Forces for 25 years attaining the rank of Commandant before retiring in 2005.
He has practised as a Barrister since then.
