Ireland Players Support Focus Ireland Christmas Choir Campaign
On Sunday evening the 45 players involved in the 1 day Ireland get-together looked to support Focus Ireland’s Christmas Choir Campaign to help support the charity’s work to combat and prevent homelessness.
Focus Ireland helped a record total of 15,500 people who were homeless or at risk last year through its 80 services nationwide and also provided 1,200 homes for families and individuals. There is now a record total of over 10,500 people homeless in Ireland and nearly 4,000 of these are children.

The Christmas Choir Campaign has seen choirs at railway stations and shopping centres across the country raising money to tackle homelessness. The Irish Rugby team were delighted to lend its support to Focus Ireland’s activity in Dublin city centre.
The players split into two groups and joined choirs on Dublin’s Grafton Street and College Green.
On Grafton Street a group of players joined the Dublin Ukelele Collective and the Fingal Gospel Choir under the stewardship of musical director Dave Flood.
On College Green a second group of players joined the Belvedere Choir, The High Hopes Choir and past pupils of Belvedere College involved in the Belvedere Sleep Out.
