Old Wesley’s Burns Is #AILTry Of The Month Winner For January

Ben Burns has been awarded the All-Ireland League Try of the Month award for January. The Old Wesley hooker finished off an exciting ‘Barbarians style’ try for Morgan Lennon’s men in their impressive 41-15 win at St. Mary’s College in Division 1B on Saturday, January 19.

The winner of the #AILTry of the Month award receives €250 and is entered into the #AILTry of the Season award.

All-Ireland League Try Of The Month – January 2019 Shortlist:

Ben Burns – Old Wesley v St. Mary’s College
Val McDermott – Old Crescent v UL Bohemians
Peter Sullivan – Lansdowne v UCC
Jonny Morton – City Of Armagh v Buccaneers
Marcus McAllister – Malahide v Seapoint

All-Ireland League Try Of The Month – 2018/19 Winners:

October – Val McDermott (Old Crescent)
November – Luke Kingston (Highfield)
December – Michael Stronge (Ballymena)
January – Ben Burns (Old Wesley)

Entries for the February #AILTry of the Month award will remain open until this Friday (March 15). Clubs should email a WeTransfer link to a video of the entry to domesticmedia@irfu.ie.
