BALLINCOLLIG 10 SUTTONIANS 10

With the unrelenting rain having a big impact, all the tries were in the second half as Ballincollig’s Aoibheann McGrath and Kate O’Sullivan cancelled out earlier scores from Suttonians’ Inaya Madyun and Bronach Cassidy.

UL BOHEMIAN 18 RAILWAY UNION 19

Defending champions UL Bohemian opened up an 18-5 lead, with two-try prop Eilís Cahill and Kate Flannery doing the scoring. However, Railway Union roared back to take the spoils thanks to Nikki Caughey converting Claire Boles’ last-gasp try.

WICKLOW 45 GALWEGIANS 7

Wicklow pulled clear of Galwegians in the second half to double their win tally and move to the top of the table. Player-coach Emily McKeown ran in a brace of tries, taking her early-season’s haul to four already.

OLD BELVEDERE 7 BLACKROCK COLLEGE 15

Mya Alcorn was Blackrock College’s ‘super sub’ as they came to behind to win this tight Dublin derby. Alcorn showed impressive strength to power over in the 58th and 63rd minutes, replying to Emma Tilly’s first half try for Old Belvedere.

COOKE 36 TULLOW 12

Cooke secured their first All-Ireland League win since last December, putting four tries on the board by half-time. Two of them were scored by former Ireland international Ilse van Staden, while Carla Cloney and Joanna Mahon crossed for Tullow.
